This is really about bad choices. I let a friendship that I was really uncomfortable with slip into silence. I was completely happy with this as I had nothing I wanted to say.
Of course, I was told I should make peace. I sent a quick e-mail that was done without thinking and it blew up in my face. After several escalations, I have created a mess.
If you decide to extend the flag of peace, my suggestion is say it in person. And of course you have to mean it.
